Czech and Slovak Literary Ventures Czech and Slovak Literary Ventures invites readers to join monthly book discussions scheduled throughout the year. The group meets on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, 1st floor, CSPS Hall, 383 Michigan Ave. This year's schedule includes: Saturday, Jan. 5 - Madam Secretary: A Memoir by Madeleine Albright with Bill Woodward Saturday, Feb. 16 - Mendelsohn is on the Roof by Jirí Weil, translated by Marie Winn Saturday, Mar. 15 - Utz by Bruce Chatwin Saturday, Apr. 19 - I Am Snowing: The Confessions of a Woman of Prague by Pavel Kohout Saturday, May 17 - The Labyrinth of the World and The Paradise of the Heart by John Comenius For more information, email gwen@cs-center.org Illusion presents The Milwaukee Mask & Puppet Theatre's production of The Ballad of Josef K May 8-18, 2008; Thursdays - Sundays $15-$20 Adapted from Franz Kafka's Novel "The Trial"; Original Live Music by Minneapolis' Thunder in the Valley; Contains mature themes not suitable for children Adapted from Franz Kafka's 1925 novel, The Trial, by Milwaukee Theater X's playwright John Schneider and directed by Rob Goodman of Milwaukee's First Stage Children's Theatre, this is the tale of a bank clerk who gets lost in an incomprehensible, impenetrable bureaucracy. The Milwaukee Puppet and Mask Theatre performs this story with stunning life-sized puppets created by Max Samson with set design by Illusion Artistic Associate Dean Holzman. Music for the production was written and will be performed live by the Minneapolis band, Thunder in the Valley. Join supporters and members of the IHRC community at a question and answer session focused on the IHRC's plans for addressing its short-term capacity
limits. Haven Hawley, program director at the IHRC, will talk about current limits, processing projects, and possible archival programs to support the
IHRC community in the coming year. We welcome your participation and information about what your ethnic organization or personal needs are so that we
