We welcome you to
join Czech and Slovak SOKOL Minnesota,
steeped and brewed in the history of Czech and Slovak immigration
into Minnesota and St. Paul's West End.
Since 1887

Czech & Slovak Sokol Minnesota welcomes all who share our interest in history, culture, gymnastics and good fellowship. You need not be Czech or Slovak to be a member.

Annual membership dues are $50 Single/$85 Couple.

This rate includes a one-time $5 fee for registration with national organization, American Sokol. New membership dues are reduced after June 30th, to $25 single, $42.50 couple.

Czech & Slovak Sokol Minnesota activities, events and offerings include:

  • Ethnic dinners featuring Czech and Slovak menus
  • Cultural celebrations including: Šibřinky (Czech Mardi Gras) Dance, Czech-Slovak Festival, Fall Harvest Dinner and Dance, Children and Adult Christmas parties, Festival of Nations (through the International Institute of Minnesota) and more
  • Monthly membership meetings with programs
  • Children and Teen folk dancing groups Taneční Mládež (Dancing Youth) and summer culture camp - rates reduced for members
  • Youth gymnastics program and competitions
  • Adult and senior activities (singing, exercise and social groups) including participation in local, national and international programs
  • Educational Opportunities (language, cooking, history, genealogy) - rates reduced with membership
  • Gift shop with imported items
  • Home of the St. Paul Czech & Slovak Dancers - www.tancuj.org - an adult performing group
  • Partnerships with related cultural and historic organizations, including the Czech and Slovak Cultural Center of Minnesota and the Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International (CGSI).
