Built in 1887, the C.S.P.S. Hall is the

    in Minnesota
  • longest serving Czech-Slovak hall
    in continuous use in the United States

Add a new dimension to your event in our historic C.S.P.S. Sokol Hall, a multi-purpose facility for nearly 140 years. This three-story commercial building in the heart of Minnesota’s first neighborhood and commercial artery of West Seventh Street, is a short mile from St. Paul’s Xcel Center, and three miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport, with convenient freeway access to I-94 and I-35E.

In 1977 the C.S.P.S. Hall was declared a National and State Historic Site, Building #77000763. Good east and south exposures face historic and commercial buildings of its urban artery, many with restored facades. Its nineteenth century brick exterior is unchanged from the 1917 third level addition.


Hall, 2nd level, 2500 sq. ft., 50’ x 50’
Seating capacity ranges from 160 - 300 with fifteen 3’ x 11’ tables.
The hall has oak floor and trim; tin ceiling, separate cloakroom, grand stair case,
and is handicapped accessible with its elevator at the parking lot entrance.

Licensed commercial kitchen 400 sq ft, 20’ x 20’; available only to licensed commercial caterer on a negotiated basis

Hall rental is part of a larger program of financial support for our organization.
Our celebrations throughout the year raise funds to support programming and support facilities:
annual Czech and Slovak Festival, Festival of Nations, ethnic-themed dinners, fall Harvest and spring Šibřinky/ Mardi Gras dances.
